I WENT CAMPING AT DEL VALLE REGIONAL PARK DURING THE SUMMER

I went camping at Del Valle park.It was reaaly fun!Let me tell you about it.
On the first day when we got there we were so early no one else was here.Then my friend Grant came and we played ball for a while.Our parents were setting things up.After a while I went to get a drink of water because I was thirsty so while I was going I saw a live BAT!!!It looked like it fell from a tree or something and we thought it was dead but when my brother Kevin poked it with a stick it screamed!That was really scary.Then other kids started showing up so we had lunch.After that we went to the beach to swim and then we went kayaking.I was paired with my mom and she fails at kayaking so it took like half a hour to get back.Then we went back and had marshmallows roasted on a fire.I tried to burn mine so the stick was on fire but I couldn't.
The next day/last day we packed up,played ball, and left.
That was our camping trip to Del Valle.

Coyote Hill Reginal Park trip

During the summer I went to many places. One place was Coyote Hills. We went biking with the Zhao family. First we rode into the entrance. When we got in we rode to a wooden bridge. We went on the bridge and rode till there was no more trail[There was water].Then we went to Dairy Glen trail,or was it called something else?I don't remember, anyways, then we rode onto a hill, but we stopped after a while because it smelled bad[There was sewage water]. Then we went on another trail till we got to a really steep hill. On the way back we saw an Alumni v.s. 'in school" race. It was cool. Finally we went home.

Trip to Redding Area/Lassen Natl.Park

Last week I went To the Redding Area/Lassen Natl.Park and it was really fun.On the first day I went to Whiskeytown Natl.Rec.Area.I swam to this place in the lake where you jump of int the water and I saw a giant creepy hole saying:"Stay alive by staying out".It was for floods.That night my mom cooked dinner in the house and the smoke alarm went of.It was very unexpected.We also ate cold meat that tastes good cold[weird right?].
The next day I went to Lassen Natl.Park.It was awesome!First I saw a random lake which I forgot its name.The water was freezing!!!!!!!!!Then I went to Summit Lake to eat lunch.We caught lots of dragonflies.My dad caught them by whacking them with a sweater.I got a bit of dragonfly blood on me.Then on the way to Bumpass Hell I saw a bear!!!!!!!It was only like 50-100 ft. away!It was a MOTHER BEAR WITH CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Then I went to Bumpass Hell.It was a long hike and we had to walk on snow and ice!I nearly slipped and fell.When we got there we saw lots of geysers!It smelled really bad because of the sulpur[a gas which smells like fart].Then we went back to the hotel.I went swimming.
The next day we went to Burney Falls.First we went on Burney Falls loop hike.We hiked to the top of the falls.It was cool and the air had a lot of mist.I saw a guy flyfishing in the water.After that we went to the lake to go paddleboating.We saw lots of fish.My mom thinks she got bit by a watersnake.
The last day we went to Turtle Bay to see Sundial Bridge. It totally looked like a sundial!It was really hot.I skipped/bounced rocks in the river.

My trip to Hawaii

Aloha!My trip to Hawaii,Oahu was awesome!!!Iwent to so many places.Hawaii is 3 hours behind us,so when I got on the plane it was 11:00a.m. but when I got there it was only 1:00p.m.I stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort.When I got there I went swimming.We also bought food,snorkeling supplies,and sunscreen.The next day we went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.I saw many different kinds of fish.We even saw a squid!We saw no sea turtles though.I learned that Honu,pronounced "hon",means turtle.It was extremely fun.




The next day I went to Dole Pineapple Plantation.I went into THE WORLD'S LARGEST MAZE!!!!!!I also ate pineapple ice cream.It was the best pineapple ice cream in the world!In the afternoon I went to the Polynesian Cultural Center.I learned about the tribes in Hawaii.They were called Hawaii,Tonga,Tahiti,Samoa,Fiji,and Aotearoa.Bula Vinaka means "hello and good health" in Fijian.




The next day I went to Pearl Harbor.it was really cool.I saw different types of torpedoes and cannons.I sat on some cannons.I also used the perescopes and went in to a model control center.I also went on and into the USS Bowfin.It was awesome!!!When I got of the Bowfin,I watched a movie on The bombing of Pearl Harbor.Then I went on a boat to the USS Arizona Memorial,built directly on the remaining parts of the Arizona.




On the last day,I went to Diamond Head Park.I climbed Diamond Head Mountain which was 769 feet high plus 279 stairs to the top, WITH SANDALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




Well,that's the end of my trip to Hawaii,Oahu.If you ever go there,I hope you will have the same good time as I did!

THE LAST OLYMPIAN[a book]

Today I read the book The Last Olympian from the Percy Jackson series.It is about Percy[Perseus],who saves Mount Olympus[on the 600th floor of the Empire State Building]and the Olympian Gods.He has a lot of help from his demigod friends,such as Annabeth,Grover,Nico,Benkendorf,Clarisse,his teacher Chiron,and many others.The Greek Gods also help,such as Poseidon,Zeus,Hades,Hermes,Apollo,Ares,Dionysus,and all the other Gods.He finally defeats the evil Titans such as Kronos,Hyperion,Prometheus[he didn't really fight],Krios,Atlas,and the other Titans.The Titans made allies with monsters like the Draecanae,the Giants,the Hellhounds,and many other monsters.They were all destroyed by the demigods.The demigods use celestial bronze weapons,which only kill monsters.Percy uses a sword called Riptide in English,and Anklusmos in Greek.Luke,a demigod who uses a sword called Backbiter with a celestial bronze side and a tempered steel side which works on both demigods and mortals[normal humans].I would rate this book 5/5 stars :-).

Stuff I did on MLKJr.Weekend

Hello!I climbed a mountain in Union City.My family and I went with my friend Grant and his family.We went on Dry Creek Trail and Old Ranch Trail.We also went to the picnic area in the mountain.We saw cows,birds,and we saw a sign saying "Stop the spread of Quaga Mussel!".We saw a few people on horses.I felt one!One horse snorted at me,and it felt warm.

Today I went to the Exploritorium in San Francisco.I saw many things.There was an electricity generator where if you spun the wheel it would light a lightbulb.There were also wheels which I thought the one with the weights on the outside would be faster but actually the one with wheels on the inside was faster.There are many other things there but these were very interesting.
