My first book report is about a book named "Little House on the Prairie". The book was written by Laura Ingalls Wilder and illustrated by Garth Williams. The published of this book is Harper Collins Publications. The genre of the book is historical fiction.
The story is about a family moving from Wisconsin to the Prairie. There are five people in the family, Pa, Ma, Laura, Mary and Baby Carrie. The first four characters are round (important characters in the plot and storyline) characters. Baby Carrie is a flat (extra character that adds humor, danger, and other interesting slants to the storyline) character.
Once they moved out, they had to battle lots of things in nature, such as fire, winter, heat and dangerous diseases. Once they settled in, they also had to survive the pressure of settling in a new place, such as nature, interacting with unfriently natives, and experiencing fear of the unkown. After they did so much, the government forced them to move out of where they were settling, because they were in Indian Territory, just three miles over the line. The government would send soldiers to move them if they don't move by themselves. Soon they moved out and they began another journey.
This book shows how it would be like if you were a pioneer child/adult. I'd recommend this book to others. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars, according to Christopher Rating system.
